do you dream about this man?

Apparently, in January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.

That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.

The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.

you glass up the worrying tree
and free split into thin air
the old topple back is back
and your front yard
is a freakin’ mess.

from the swanky depths
of what used to be a very feathery drown
hands reach skyward
and together manage with twisting branches
to pull off the night

going by knuckle scraping accuracy this time
like taking out the dog
you’ll see me in the alley next time
saying shit about no god.

I dreampt last night that I woke up and someone had given me a "Patrick Swayze haircut" while I slept. It was short and blond and curly on top (not like his hair at ALL). I found a list with different people's names on it in my room. Patrick's was the first and the second was Sylvester Stallone. My sister also woke up with a different hairdo and the mission became finding out which hairdresser we knew who would do such a dasterdly thing...if not, I knew I'd wake up the next day looking like Rocky...

a. People are more willing to accommodate your longings if you're not greedy or grasping.

b. A good way to achieve your desires is to cultivate the feeling that you've already achieved them.
